چکیده

The World Health Organization has acknowledged the gap in schizophrenia diagnoses and recommended further research to identify tools biomarkers for disease’s early detection. Because skin brain have a common ectodermal origin, dermatoglyphics are hypothesized serve as potential mirror identification of risks characteristics neuropsychiatric diseases. This study aimed determine digito-palmar dermatoglyphic patterns patients Ghana. Digito-palmar were obtained using digital scanner, details studied. Individuals living with Ghana significantly characterized by low odds vestige pattern hypothenar region, palmar creases 300, high radial loop (RL) plain arch (PA) respectively at finger relative control group [OR (95% CI): vestige, 0.2 (0.06–0.69), P = 0.01; 0.1 (0.01–0.99), 0.049; PA, 0.4 (0.3–0.7), < 0.001; RL, 1.9 (1.0–3.7), 0.044]. also mean left-hand a-b ridge count right hand atd angle compared controls. These differences could be explored biomarker diagnosing detection Ghanaians.

Palm prints of 55 male and 33 female schizophrenic patients from Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh were examined for a possible association between palmar dermatoglyphic characteristics and the disease. There was a marked difference between patients and normal controls with regard to palmar C line termination, axial triadic, number of ridges at the a-b inter digital area and the frequency of var...

Palmar dermatoglyphics of dyslexia.

Palmar dermatoglyphic prints were taken of 261 dyslexics (173 males and 88 females) and compared against those of 707 controls (372 males and 335 females). Dyslexics of both sexes were found to exhibit greater complexity in terms of ridge count and pattern location than controls, particularly on the left hand. Specifically, both male and female dyslexics exhibited higher left a-b counts, wider ...

UNLABELLED The human palms and soles are textured with skin different to that of the other body surface. Instead of sebaceous glands or hairs, there are sweat glands opening into epidermal ridges. They are variously oriented, thus forming different patterns. The aim of the study was to assess some dermatoglyphic patterns, the TRC and the a-b ridge count in a sample of patients and a control gro...
